A seven-vehicle crash in Prince George’s County left two women dead and sent five other people to the hospital Tuesday, according to Maryland State Police.
At 1 p.m., state troopers responded to a call about a multivehicle crash on Maryland 202 at St Josephs Drive in Lake Arbor. According to police, a Honda Accord hit a curb divider and went airborne before striking a Toyota Tundra. The Tundra then crashed into five other vehicles.
Two women, Tara Gross, 50, and Dandra Byrd, 31, were pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical services.
Five other people involved in the crash were taken to the hospital by ambulance. Other passengers or drivers had were treated at the scene or had no injuries.
Maryland State Police are investigating the crash to determine the cause and possible charges.
